TIn view of technological advancement, industrialization and globalization there has been a continuous increase of demand for the qualified technical manpower in both national and international levels. It has become imperative for both the Government and Private sectors to establish more and more new Engineering and Management Colleges to cater the need of the market. It is expected that the job prospect will be much brighter by the end of 2011 both in the core and IT sectors. Thus the objective of the institution is to create an educational institute for imparting high quality technological and management education for producing technical personnel of global standard in keeping pace with the changing scenario in the field of technology and management. So the college is committed to establish an institute of pride in academic activities and its primary objective is to produce qualified and competent manpower and put them not only to the required technological workforce of the state but also in National and International levels. The institute with its qualified faculty members, well equipped laboratories, and good library with modern accessories for teaching will be able to impart quality education for producing a brand of imprudent, striking and brilliant engineers for meeting the challenges of the changing society.

HOD–PHYSICS Department
During the last 44 years of Teaching experience he rose to the level of Profession and HOD. Professor Das has worked as Secretary of science and Commerce Department in a reputed college under Calcutta University. His area of interest are Classical Mechanics , Plasma Physics and Mathematical Physics.
MR. DIPAK KUMAR CHATTERJEE
HOD –CHEMISTRY Department
The Chemistry Department at the college strives to provide an excellent education in chemistry within the framework of curriculum set forwarded by WBUT. Here the students are provided with a variety of learning opportunities such as formal courses with integrated laboratory, hands-on experiences with modern instrumentation and computers. Students also enjoy the scope of one to one interaction with teacher and laboratory technician in the laboratory. Laboratory experience gives students an opportunity to develop the skills of – making observations, making precision measurements, keeping records, and manipulating equipments.
