Achievements
Ms.Karnia Bhowal, Mr.Arka Baidya, Mr.Arkaprava Mukhopadhyay and Mr.Souvik Dhara of Civil 2nd Year students as a group achieved second position in "Nirman Event(Bridge Making)" on 23rd March 2018 in a TechFest at Modern Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET).

Mr. Ayan Chanda, Mr. Debangshu Sen, Mr. Sayom Sarkar & Mr. Dipanjan Mahapatra of ECE 3rd Year students as a group achieved second rank in "Advanced Technology for Sensory Impairment" at District Level Competition, on 9th January 2018 at Hooghly Branch - Govt High School.

Mechanical Engineering Department has achieved the sponsorships from "The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)" for the project "Tri Copter Drone" which ranks first position in the final exhibition in the CII Project on 25th November, 2017 at Lalit Great Eastern Hotel(Kolkata).

Tri Copter Drone from Mechanical Engineering Department and Advanced Technology for Sensory Impairment from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department were selected among 6 projects from entire JIS group for the final exhibition in "The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)".

Ashish Ranjan, 3rd year student of Computer Science & Engineering Department and Suryakant Singh, 3rd year student of Civil Engineering Department were selected to Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok in January 2018 through an entrance test organized by JIS Group and conducted by IEPM.

Mr.Tuhin Roy and Mr. Sagnik Ganguly of 2nd year Mechanical Engineering students as a group achieved first rank in "Agricultural Monitoring DRONE" at District Level Competition, on 21st Dec, 2016 at Hooghly Jyotish Chandra Vidyapith, Chinsurah.

Mr.Amit Kumar (EE) and Mr. Subhajit Jana (EE) as a group achieved first rank in "Engineering Model Contest at State Level Science fair", on 4th Oct, 2015 at Netaji Indoor Stadium & accordingly nominated at National Level Science Competition at BITM, Kolkata.

Mr Ravinath Jha (CSE) and Mr. Samrat Bose (CSE), Ms. Chandni Kumari (CSE) and Ms. Komal Priya (ECE) as a group achieved Rank 551 and 1303 respectively in Global TCS Code Vita Contest on 8th Aug,2015.

Mr. Subhabrata Biswas (EE) & Ms. Sanchita Roy (EE) got first prize for the project "remote Control of 1-phase Induction motor" at BITM, Kolkata in 2015.
